From Comes to More Netflix Regions as MGM+ Keeps Season 4

The mystery at the heart of From is about to become easier to follow around the world. Netflix will add the first three seasons in several more regions on November 24, bringing new viewers into the story of a town that traps everyone who arrives. Season 4, however, remains outside the deal, so the expanded reach comes with a clear gap for anyone hoping to watch the whole series in one place.

A wider release for the first three seasons

According to What’s on Netflix, the series is set to arrive in the UK, Canada and France on November 24. Listings also point to the same date for the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, India and Belgium. The rollout gives Netflix viewers in those countries a new way to start the show, though it doesn’t include every market: Australia, Germany, Spain and Latin America aren’t currently expected to receive it.

For most of these regions, this will be the first Netflix release of From. Some subscribers have seen part of the story there before. Season 1 was available in the Netherlands, Belgium, Hungary, Poland, Sweden and Netflix’s Middle East and North Africa region after launching in April 2024, but later left the service.

From premiered in 2022. John Griffin created the series, Jeff Pinkner is its showrunner, and Harold Perrineau plays Boyd Stevens, the town’s sheriff and de facto mayor. The premise is spare and unsettling: people become trapped in a place that won’t let them leave, with danger and unanswered questions waiting beyond its doors. The show has since become the most-watched series in MGM+ history, drawing viewers who return to puzzle over its clues and creatures.

Netflix’s US numbers point to a ready audience

The regional expansion follows a promising start on Netflix in the United States. Seasons 1 to 3 arrived there on October 19, and the series has appeared in the service’s daily Top 10s since. For the week of October 19 to 25, season 1 placed No. 7 on Netflix’s English TV chart, with 2.9 million views and 24.3 million hours watched.

That showing suggests the series can find new viewers beyond its original home on MGM+. It also gives the coming release a useful entry point: the first three seasons offer a substantial run of story for newcomers to explore, while the show’s central mystery can encourage viewers to keep comparing clues and theories. The audience figures are for season 1 during a single week, though, rather than a measure of the entire series’ long-term reach.

There was an earlier plan for Netflix to carry From outside the United States as a Netflix Original when the show was announced in 2021. That arrangement did not come to pass. The current agreement for seasons 1 to 3 is described as a limited-time window, making the November expansion a new distribution opportunity rather than a permanent home for the series.

Season 4 remains the missing chapter

Viewers who finish the three available seasons will find that the story continues on MGM+. Season 4 premiered there on April 19 and wrapped earlier this year, but it isn’t included in Netflix’s current deal. The season brings the Man in Yellow mystery further into focus and tests whether Boyd can keep the town together as his own condition worsens.

Neither Netflix nor Amazon MGM has publicly said whether season 4 will join the service. What’s on Netflix speculates it could arrive in early to mid-2027, ahead of the final season, but says it may not appear during the current license. The outlet points to Fargo as an example of a series whose later seasons didn’t reach Netflix before earlier ones left.

Keeping the newest episodes on MGM+ also gives the streamer a reason for viewers to seek it out after catching up on Netflix. For fans, that means the release schedule may shape where they watch as much as when they watch. People starting in November could reach the end of season 3 before the next chapter’s streaming plans are clear.

The final season is already in production

The series is heading toward a planned conclusion. MGM+ announced on April 15 that From would return for a fifth and final season, only days before season 4 premiered. Filming is underway in Halifax and is scheduled to wrap on November 27, with the new season planned to premiere in 2027.

Griffin, Pinkner and director-producer Jack Bender said in a joint statement that they were thrilled to begin work on the new season and see the story through to its conclusion. Perrineau leads an ensemble that also includes Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eion Bailey, Hannah Cheramy, Simon Webster and Ricky He.

The timing gives new Netflix viewers room to catch up on the first three seasons before the planned final chapter arrives. Whether they can watch season 4 on Netflix in between is still unsettled; for now, its availability remains with MGM+. The November expansion opens the door to the series for more viewers, while the final season gives longtime fans a destination to look toward.
